HOT DOG UNIVERSITY
"The Harvard of Encased Meats"
HDU is a unique hands-on program offering shared knowledge
and trade secrets.
A two-day-day course teaching all aspects of the hot dog "cart" business.
Class size is limited to 7 (That's as many as Mark can fit in his SUV)
and run from spring thru the summer in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
If you are thinking of starting a Hot Dog cart business I strongly reccomend taking this class.
Walter and I took the 2 day course at Hot Dog U and it was the best thing we could have done!
We returned to Albany with a wealth of information and decided we were going into the hot dog business. Walter and I had never tasted a "Chicago Style" hot dog before our trip to HDU but once we did we were amazed at how flavorful these hot dogs were. We knew that the Vienna Beef hot dogs were not available in the Capital Region and we liked that
unique-ness. So we decided to bring the Vienna Beef line of Polish hot dogs to Albany,
"The Best Traditional Hot Dog in the U.S.A.!"

The first day at Hot Dog U with classroom discussions on how to start a business, safety and health topics, cart specifications, purchasing and storing hot dogs and applying
for local permits. A road trip to a restaurant supply store and lunch is also
part of the curriculum.

Hot Dog U. guru Mark Reitman, PHD (Professor Hot Dog) shows off a BIG WALLY, a full half pound of encased joy and feared by all!

Walter and I worked together as a team operating Hot Dog U's cart on the second day of
our instruction. The picture above was taken with our very first customer.
Together we sold the most Hot Dogs than the other teams that day.
(That's our story and we're sticking to it!)
